Short but sweet. Got a few Mossie and Chaingun kills while testing the audio effectiveness of my 'new' new speakers today. The old one's finally gave in after about some 10 years of faithful service.

I will honor them by personally delivering them to the electronic garbage and disposing of them properly.

Tonight I decided to try and play infiltrator.

I had a few spare certs so I upgraded a few things, (dildar, a few levels of cloaking, grenade mine attachements ect) to try to have a bit of a fun. Well I don't think I'm ever going to play infil again. It's either boring as fuck, trying to snipe people or infuriating for all the bullshit "got the drop on someone yet he spins around and murders you in .5 sec".

So yeah a few hundred certs down the drain.

Don't give up, it can be extremly satisfying to play.

Make sure to use an SMG, preferably the Armistice, and equip the advanced laser.
Never use ADS and go for headshots.
Get yourself the grenade bandolier with the EMP grenades.
Equip the emp shield implant to save yourself.
Use the medkit instead of the claymores.

Flank, Flank, Flank.

And whatever you do, never trust a weapon Murdok suggests.

Also, pretty much what Leon said.

Sniping is boring, but EMP/SMG gameplay is super fast paced, I'm pretty sure the Armisitice was the fastest Auraxium I got. It's also a good way to learn good flanks and what not because the SMGs are much more forgiving than any of the scout rifles.

Other than the SMGs (For the love of god, never get the MKV-Sup) Infil weapons are very exotic, that's a nice word for 'suck a bag of dicks'. Because we can go stealth, the devs gave Infils worse versions of weapons that are in game. The SOAS-20 is a worse carbine, for example, but a headshot machine. The Vandal gives you a semi auto with good magazine size and the TRAP is a Gauss SAW with worse recoil.

tl;dr - be an SMG jockey, it's crazy fun

Silencers work wonders on infiltrators especially on my weapon of choice the HSR-1 and SMGs. Because silencers make weapons have kind of weird noises, for a lot of enemies they have to think what they are being shot with which can give you a slight advantage.

For what loadout I recomend is:
nanoweave, for small arms protection (because it's the only protection you really need and has use).
health kits, for survivabillity if you get into a fight you will take damage if you don't kill them outright.
emp, no explanation nessasary.
motion spotters, good for hunting if people don't notice it they won't notice you either

Light Assault is the best class and it's going to be so annoying when they release the LA update and all the plebs try to use it properly for the first time.

Noone was talking about infils being the "best". Also if you're waiting for the rocklet I hate to disappoint but they pulled that back because they realized that it was horseshit.

Anyway continuing my experimenting with stuff. I've tried tryharding my KD up as high as possible and as a medic I got 4 (and about 5 ragetells of why am I not reviving), after switching to infil I got it up to 6 (at one point I went on a 10kill streak). This "experiment" lasted 1.5h. So yeah kd farming is "hard" as infantry.

Back to enjoying this game.

Logged on to record as many 6+ killstreaks as possible to make a montage as piss Yamicks off, just to show him he's a bad player.

Ended up leading a squad during the alert, which, despite not using command chat, was able to spearhead a lot of TR offensives, [BAWC] claimed the entire western TR frontine of Hossin as well as drive an attack all the way towards Hunter's Blind.

Brilliant night, Squad behaved perfectly. Keep it up, boys.
