Should I get a mic?

I was thinking about this a while ago and joining an outfit made me think about it again. I can't decide what to think so I want to get some of your opinions. Should I get a mic?

Good things:
• Voice communication on teamspeak and Skype, obviously. Very useful.

Bad things:
• I live with other people who might get annoyed by me talking.
• My voice sounds weird and I hate it.

Thoughts?

• Having mic is very important. I used to type into chat before when I couldn't use mic at all but I would estimate that 90% of the stuff I typed was either ignored/not noticed/noticed too late.

• If you can arrange so that you are in a separate room with maybe your door closed that should solve your problem. If you can't have that kind of arrangement you could just speak when needed like when a vehicle needs to be pulled and people have to call out who is going to pull or when you need to give enemy deployed sundy location or whatever. Keeping the chatter minimal.

• Noone gives a crap about weird voice. I've been in ts with frankmite(sb who hadn't reached puberty yet), JoranZankovich(?) and Audi03 who both sound weird but it didn't matter anyway. Currently we have flokiss who always sounds out of breath but it doesn't matter cause he's a scrub anyway
