| So quick question.
Am I the only one who's antivirus started blocking objects on this forum? I'm using avast and the latest software update have been a few weeks back so that's not it....
Soo yeah. | |

| I think its avast that is broken. It block planetside 2 client, this forum and I read on reddit that it can block itself too | |

| Avast fucked my PS2 client today and this site. Both are back to functionality by now though, or at least so it seems.
This forums was also very slow the last few days, so no idea what that's about. The way I fixed PS2's patch - that Avast was deleting routinely claiming malware - was to stop the firewall from Avast for 10 minutes and let it DL without control.
Site was still fucked according to Avast though even after disabling the firewall, but now well over an hour later it's working. Weird.

| Well the freak-out is back now. The only way to get the site to run is to disable the firewall for a while and then scan and delete the shit you got.
Fucking bothersome. Is there a way to get this shit off the site for good? I was under the impression the ads were removed recently.

| Well, I run an adblock so it's not that on my end. Looking at it a bit more things like the edit button's image are the stuff getting blocked.
As for Planetside I've not had any problems with that.

| I run adblock as well, and my Avast still freaks out at times. Remember that the adds are still sent to the site even if you don't see them, IIRC.
At any rate can we have a word on this? When was the site going to be add-free?

| Yep it's most definitely blocking the images of the buttons of the site itself. Post a reply, edit post, new post image ect. I can also add that the adress blocked is always displayed something like this: "142.23.11.3/editbuttonorsomeshit.gif" Usually if it blocks something it's the normal adress instead of an ip adress in the path. Also it doesen't always do that so I'm thinking that there's something fishy going on personally, because in my experience avast consistently blocks the same thing. It's not doing it on a random basis. Okay here's a screen cap of what I'm talking about. Does anyone know the ip adress of the forum? [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | |

| @Dubnus, do you mean the music bot on the front-page of this website? It disappeared due to copyright and other law restrictions. We would have been forced to pay more in order to use it, even if we would be to use unlicensed music | |

Nigga what? Where do you get this information? There no restrictions, neither by law of by copyright. Deezer is a free to use service that makes money via advertisement. However, any semi-capable ad-blocker takes care of those. Music bot should still be there, if there are any problems, sent a PM to the admin account.

| Hey,
even though i am not online a lot lately, I try to visit the forum as often a posible; unfortunatly this has became harder and harder in the last few days, month. We have a lot of ads all over the forum, and that for quite some time now. Even though i didnt like it, it was acceptable... However, lately the website has become more and more unusable.
To be a bit more precise:
1. The usal advertisment bar at the top of the forum, between the tab menu and the content 2. Pop Up`s while browsing 3. But by far the worst is the type of advertisment that uses your tab to forward you to their own site
In short, the Advertisment on our website is worse then the one you can find on cheap porn-sites.
Now you surely could argue, that i should use adblock. However i am often visiting via mobilephone (or at least i did) and even more important, there might be visitors, that take a look at our forum to see who we are and what we doing. In that case the Ads might not be the first imression we want to give to potential new recruits, right?
I really think this needs fixing.
If any evidence is requierd, i can make a video!

| I will repeat myself: Was this site not supposed to be completely add-free? Was Murdock not PAYING FOR THAT?
And if not, how can we make it add-free, because I despise adds in general and if it's even remotely as invasive as Division says - and I believe him - this shit has got to go. ASAP.
Another problem is the possible virus issues. My anti-virus freaked pretty badly over this site recently, and while it has not done that for a couple of days, I've come to EXPECT a fuck-up anytime I go here and am relieved every time it's 'clean'. This kind of condition should not have to be tolerated.

| Okay I don't know about others, but for me, my antivirus only blocked site images. Reply button, edit button things like that. Not the ads.
It did today too. For 5 minutes. Before this phenomenon started there was a virus update, before it ended there wasn't so I've completely gave up on what could be causing it.

| Hi. Currently:
Ads Ads are not deactivated for your users.
So speak to Murdok to sort out financing or donate on the homepage and ill remove it.
Also removed the music player on the homepage. The provider of the player had a deal with ad companies that they could advertise on every site using their player. Most of the ads should be gone now, with a exception of a few; wich in turn will be gone when payment starts again.

| Hmmm removing that player might have sped up the site a bit? I think. It feels like it anyway. | |

| The "Currently ingame" ?module? on the frontage stopped working for me since a few days now.
Not website breaking but it's useful sometimes.
