What did you achieve today on Auraxis?

Pretty good Sunday Night Ops today. Some derpy Harrasser runs, * a nice Galaxy bombardment run, some Valkyrie drops and skirmishes for mixed results, ** a fun little Sunderer stampede that ended with trying to cap a base and being over-run by filthy easy-mode VS scum, a desperate attempt to take a classic HA launcher squad to a VS zerg, *** and finally a nice round of Mossie attack squads bombarding targets in support of the TR ground forces re-taking a few base on Hossin during the alert.

Good times, all in all.

*** VS zergs are fucking annoying. Even after we finally manged to kill or scare off most of the air-forces, they still pull and moved tanks and all over the place. Containing the infectious disease that is a large VS force is hard as hell, their Magriders were everywhere around us. We re-located 4 or 5 times trying to find angles to attack them form and only killed a handful of tanks and some infantry. VS zergs attack on lane and not only choke the base they attack, but seem to love spilling all over the surrounding bases as well. They were literally everywhere we went.

I lost a small killstreak earlier today because a BR 2 didn't understand that I was a friendly and shot me with a T1 Cycler.

BAWC captured Hossin while playing the NC and VS against each other, near flawless team-work and cohesion, spanking them both out of several bases. It was glorious.

Got a 33 kill streak with the Vandal and a TTRO pleb kills me...

Placed c4 on a valkyrie and launched it into a magrider.

Why? For the glory of satan of course.

Decent evening tonight. Ended up with a few Arrows running a few NC out of... well, the same base, over and over. Herding cats can be a chore, and I would not bother to keep at it if you weren't a bunch of killer-cats at that. But hell, holding off the NC zerg can be fun. I've no idea how many sundies we blew to corporate hell, but it was quite a few. We wanted to wipe a hill full of NC infantry, so we pulled a swift Mossie wing of 6 craft - and that was very well done. While we got shot down swiftly by a massive wall of AA we managed to rally the mossies very quickly, so the important part was achieved - sharpening the deployment time of the Arrows themselves.

After a while we ended up, kicking the main Zerg out and they moved on to a nearby Tech-Plant. In response to this we were running a proto Prowler-wing and blew up a bunch more tanks, clearing up the same lane we had removed most of the NC from. We were stopped only by superior NC fire - mostly several Raven-MAX'es, as usual - and eventually ended up with a 5-man squad in one Prowler and one Repair Sundie - as well as one guy in his damn solo-lib, because he's to good to be a team-mate, apparently. You know who you are, you softie :3

It was nice to see how 5 folks in two vehicles can completely decimate several enemy tanks (and a couple aircraft, shooting down Galaxies with AV weapons is always fun) though we did eventually end up running into the same little trap twice, getting squashed in between the tech plant building and the spawn building. Welp, learning experience.

Was fun. hoping for more of this soon

P.S: I've been flying for a long while, and I liked the new changes to the controls introduced recently, but it seems to me that they altered the controls in recent days - unless I somehow missed it - because my mossie handled like shit today. Going to have to go check on that soon.

The story is simple. I log on one morning because I'm bored to tears and I had to pull an all-nighter to fix my sleeping cycle. I initially intended to practice some ESF flying to get used to the new controls, but soon decided, F-it, TR needs some help, because at that point NC has 65% pop and TR has 19%. They also had over 50% of the territory.

TR territory stretch all the way down to Raven Landing at that time so I deploy there and start defending, re-taking points, killing NC and looking for that elusive Sundy. After a while it's me and 5 other guys, so it's a bit more even and we start kicking the NC out - pop is nearly 50/50 by then.

This goes on for I dunno how long. After the NC grows tired of this and finally deploy a squad and a half to run us over, we buckle under the pressure of air and tank support against our 6-7 guys. All the territory north of Raven Landing has fallen minus Shadespire farms, so I go there.

A short skirmish break out there as well. As usual it's the fight for the point over and over. We (myself and almost a squad worth of TR, no common coms or anything) pop a couple sundies and drive them off the A-point again, until - you guessed it - 3 times our number drops on us and seals the deal.

Special mention goes to the FREC infil who stalker cloaked in the A building to sit in a corner and do fuck-all until he got killed. I pushed in the building 3 times in a row and killed NC that were at one point sitting on his face. The last (failed) push we had for A he spent snipinghelping from the flank, hitting fuck-all. Pride of FREC right there man, you rock!

I re-deploy to a sundy trying to take the northernmost base next to our WG and urge the guy left in my pubbie squad to follow. he doesn't. Kill 2 NC infantry and a MAX before the sundy is taken down, then call it and log off.

The only thing I got out of that was more kills for the T16 Aurax (only 70 left to go now) a good positive K/D (yay, positive statistics...) and the weird sense of pride I felt recalling, as if in an epiphany - TR has *NEVER* had these kind of loop-sided numbers during late-night early-morning game-play and we surely have NEVER struggled to kick out anyone else when we do have the upper hand.

And I want that to remain a fact. If any of you fuck this up and cap multiple bases defended by less than 6 folks per base with 12+ squads, I will find you.

Long-ass 4.5 hour session today. Finally auraxed the T16 Rhino - I am now a free man - and led a bunch of Arrows and randoms around. After purging the platoon of useless members twice I'm glad to say the majority not only followed orders well but did so very effectively, in spite of some in-game coms BS. We had action across Hossin, some fun on Esamir, and finally lots of action on Amerish. We had tank convoys, Gal-drops, a MAX crash and some other stuff. Only thing I regret is not having the platoon pull a Hellfire assault, but I figured that would alienate anyone unable to fly in any way, so.

VS won one alert - though barely - as we speak they likely won another. I'm starting to get tired of this but there is not much I can do when I practically hate fighting them. There was also some other fun BS, like hit-detection being completely fucked at times and people's movement being magical, I swear anyone able to deliver a series of headshots to me while flying side-ways through the air need to be burned at a stake.

All in all though, it was awesome. I ended with my desired outcome achieved and got some fun in leading a pubbie platoon. Well, more like 2 squads, I never expanded it to anymore than that... maybe next time.

Yesterday I blew up two Ballerkniepe GSD sundies attacking a biolab and a ton of maxes got out. I was in a Prowler. I roadkilled half of them and blew up the others with my AP. It was fucking glorious

Yesterday I held the bottom (teleporter to the vehicel terminals) with TheRealFeanor ( one guy that is actually good and from GETR ) against 10 Enemys. Solid heavy and Medic work, till they got me with 6 people;D. I was suprised that it were PSUH and PL13 which failed to get us out there.

Cobalt's Terran Alliance may not have fully developed to the point where we can effectively have our forces moved around the map and deploy needed forces in specific areas on time, but at least we are not as bad as the VS.

These fuckers have enough people with idle hands available, to win an alert with massive Zergs and STILL derp like they did in yesterday's alert. I guess it must be great to have only a one-front war for the majority of the alert timer...

The day started out so nicely... I got to Amerish and fought in the end of an Alert the NC ended up winning. I had, after a short while, died 3 times and killed 9 enemies, and helped defend a few bases.

Then it all went to hell.

Went to Hossin to help TR take Chac tech Plant and the surrounding areas. Managed to turn that 9/3 K/D into a disgraceful 10/13. 10 deaths and one kill trying to stop the same 3 NC over and over. Murphy's law was kicking my ass really hard, frankly all I did failed miserably when directly fighting - these fuckers would sometimes get the drop on me, but mostly it was direct 1v1 gun-fights - that I mostly lost by a hair's breath. It was frankly amazing how close it was, but ultimately I did achieve my goals of getting them off the A point, to focusing on saving their sundies or the SCU - that I was constantly flipping - and so on. Eventually more TR got around to the area and helped me out - worst part was many of the retaliatory kills I could have had - no less than 5, I did in fact count - was kill-steals by others.

These are the kinds of situations in PS2 that just frustrates the living hell our of you, when everything goes wrong and even TR take your kills away. I could start shooting some guy and some other TR would pop in the last shots in the last second, on some guy you wanted to get revenge on, so fucking infuriating.

So, having taken Chac and pushing on, I swore I'd have my revenge. NC wanted Construction site Beta - they could not fucking have it. I would not allow that after that miserably round around Chac. So after Chac and securing Chac Fusion Labs onward to CC-Beta it was.

And I had a fucking revenge. A proper Terran, BAWC revenge. I blew up all their sunderers for a good 45 long minutes and murderered anyone trying to stop me.

It was a good, and proper, revengening.

(There is one more Armestice kill after this  but I'm not screen-capping for one kill out of frame...)

The worst part about all this is that I was genuinely trying to stop the attack by destroying the Sundies, but they kept bringing in new ones all the time and holding out on fixing the one's under attack. Luckily we held Esamir so Lightnings were CHEAP and I could pull several - I lost a good few, a couple of them Skyguards trying to keep the air clean. The one loss to a VS is a farming twat who thinks roaming around the battlefield where both the other factions are busy and have little AA is hilarious. I chased his ass away eventually and informed command, dispatched a few aircraft to shoot his ass down shortly before I left. I really wish the killboard would record vehicle kills some day because I killed a few Lightnings myself, and I have no idea how many Sundies I popped... heck, I shot a landed Lib who landed for repairs. I was the only TR taking my advice over /re to go to Hayd Skydock to get vehicles from there, so he did not expect that...

71/38, but a good series of Sundies blown up, and heap-loads of denial for the NC makes me happier than this result. After all, most was a Viper-AOE effect while shooting the sundies.
